Time to bring back the tier list

Last year I started a credit card tier list to rank the most popular US credit cards. With all the new cards being released this past week, I had to bring it back for you.

Citi Strata Elite - The new premium travel card of Citi is a support card similar to the Plat and CSR. If the credits make sense to you, then go for this card, but it’s probably just going to be a side character in your overall credit card strategy.

Rakuten - This shopping portal card earns 4x or 5x on top of what the shopping portal already offers. AND this can convert to Amex points so it’s pretty solid as a support shopper card.

Caesars Prestige - Only worth it if you normally go to Caesars - but then it gets packed with value. Plus potential for free cruise matching.

Nibbles - A pet credit card that gives one pet free insurance - just a cash back card with a nice perk IF you can get your pet covered.

Chase Sapphire Reserve - we’ve covered this card a lot on our socials, but basically it’s in the niche tier if you can really make use of the credits. Not support since the Preferred does the important job of transferring points.

Technically, every credit card is a “niche” card where if you’re in a certain situation it COULD make sense for you to get a certain credit card because of it’s perks, banking institution, and more.
